Guru Ravidas was born in Goverdhanpur, near Varanasi, Uttar
Pradesh. In childhood, Ravidas used to go to his Guru Pandit Sharda Nand’s
school for education.
After some time, the upper castes stopped him from
attending school. Pandit Sharda Nand Ji knew the talent of Ravidas Ji. Then He emphasized equality, unity, and devotion to God, regardless of caste. Played a
significant role in the Bhakti Movement, promoting spiritual unity. Saint
Ravidas was the spiritual guru of the famous poet and social reformer whose
teachings resonate across generations.
